Intrascrotal Capillary Haemangioma – Case Report and Literature Review

Instrascrotal capillary haemangiomas are very rare benign tumours. They usually present as a scrotal mass, which requires scrotal exploration and tumour excision for definitive diagnosis. They can be easily misinterpreted as testicular tumours, epididymal cysts or sarcomas. Imaging is usually of limited diagnostic value, but can reliably exclude testicular cancer. Their identification is important as they have a tendency of recurrence. We present a 16 year old male patient who had an intrascrotal capillary haemangioma, which was fully excised upon scrotal exploration for a suspicious scrotal mass.
